So I owe you something in 1/32nd scale...

However, I'm thinking about throwing-in-the-towl, leaving my motor and prop the way they are now,

and just call my project: "The Bulldog Replica".

If it makes you feel any better mate, that's probably what I would do too.

Hey Man, thanks for that.

Problem is: I set-out to build an accurate Bulldog in it's ORIGIONAL form. :innocent:

I don't think that's setting the bar too high. I think my research work needs some research! :speak_cool:

I must need professional help! :mental:

I've had to rework this motor twice now.

They say "third time is the charm". :) :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

I pulled the nine plug wires, the ignition ring and the oil line. :crying:

OK, This is it. :frantic:

This is the last time I rework my plug wires. :BANGHEAD2:

I used my moto-tool to create the R1340 depressions around the crankcase.

Hi Wiggy,

The third engine overhaul is succesful. :BANGHEAD2:

Your engine looks good!

Tonight (western european time) I'll post a few extra pictures of my propeller in my thread.

Hope it helps you building yours.

Cheers,

Peter

With help from my good friend Peter, I finally got my brain wrapped-around this damn propeller from 1932.

Removed ALL the previous fiddle-de-bits and scratch-built new fiddle-de-bits.

This is as close as I can get to the "correct" adjustable pitch contol.

My propeller is as finished as it's going to get. :deadhorse:

I managed to mask-off the R1340 crank case and spray some clear gloss for a little shine.

I brushed the pushrods with some gloss top coat to better match those early photographs.

Progress can be a beautiful thing. :frantic:

Hey Man, thanks for the kind words.

Here a just a few of my favorite (look away: 1/48th scale ahead!) models.

I have over 250 models in my collection- mostly "off the beaten path" aircraft.

Thanks for the kind words.

This was a very unique aircraft with a huge back story and well worth the effort.
