  1. Thanks fellas. I may have a chance to build an "Operation Torch" P-40. Just trying to get my 1/32nd scale ducks lined-up. Curtiss skies, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  2. Greetings. Is there a P-40L-20 kit in 1/32nd scale? Many thanks, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  3. Beautiful job! Your best work yet. Many blue skies, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  4. In a word, MONEY! A friend of mine has "this car" and ask if I would build the kit. I wanted to build a car for years but I've been "stuck in the hangar". When this project came along, I said I'd do it. Thank you both for the kind words. Now, I'm back at the airfield with a Spitfire looming... More to follow, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  5. Greetings friends. I wanted to share this with you. Hope this is OK? Finished the 1953 Ford Crestline Victoria... Starting the "Spitfire tipping a V-1 in flight" project (in an unspeakable scale). When that's finished, I'm returning to the land of 1/32nd scale! Stay tuned, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  6. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like my little BULLDOG. I think there's a Gee Bee in my future... Just have to finish a 1953 Ford Crestline Victoria and a Mk.XIVc Spit tipping a V-1 in flight. All the best, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  7. Hey Man, I was hoping you'd see it. When you finished, it took the wind out of my sails. Then my bench light quit and you know how important proper lighting is. Looking forward to our next build. All the best, Quarter Scale Wiggy- the DOG catcher
  8. Good job correcting the out-of-register colors. My Williams Bros. kit decals were old and brittle- be prepared, your decals may shatter when they come out of the water. Good luck, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  9. Thanks fellas. I had a lot of fun with this project. All the best, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  10. Hey Man, Thanks for that. I had a ball here on LSP- what a GREAT place. More to follow... Taxiing, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  11. Hey Man, thanks for the kind words. Glad you like my little BULLDOG. I know, I've gained a whole new appreciation for the Golden Age Racers. Contact, Quarter Scale Wiggy the DOG catcher

  16. Greetings friends. My "on-going" 1932 Springfield BULLDOG project is finished at last. The build "drama" is recorded on the "In Progress" forum. Just HAD to post a shot here- the finish line! Switch ON, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  17. Greetings friends. I can't believe it, I'M FINISHED!!! Many of you followed this LONG journey. Thank you all for your support. At last, my 1932 Springfield BULLDOG Racer. Hope you enjoyed the photos. Thank you all for making me feel welcome here on LSP. Quarter Scale Wiggy has paid his dues.
  18. Hey Man, thanks for the kind words. Your R-2800 looks GREAT! Very well done. Switch on, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  19. GREAT subject and some nice progress. No other aircraft demonstrated the power of the German propaganda machine in WWII like the He 100. So many photographs of He 100's flying in group formation with different ficticious Squadron emblems, the Allies thought for sure Germany had been operating Heinkels in great numbers. Only 25 were built! Good luck with your project, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  20. Hey Man, surfing and found this: >Chance Vought F4U-1A Corsair #883 "Bu.17883", VMF-214 flown by 1st. Lt. Bob McClurg - December, 1943. This aircraft was also flown by Maj. Greg Boyington.< Switch on, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  21. So nice when our better half accepts our affliction and caters to our needs. Did you consider dressing-out your Corsair as Lt. Col. Robert McClurg's aircraft? McClurg flew #883 as Boyington's wing man. "Pappy" also flew #883 on several missions. Years ago I ask McClurg who "Martha" was- turns-out he named his Corsair after his Mother! http://www.acepilots.com/usmc_boyington.html Keep-up the GREAT work, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  22. And the mind of a mad man! Thanks for the kind words. This was a very unique aircraft with a huge back story and well worth the effort. http://skagitaero.com/aircraft/hall-springfield-bulldog/ Much more to follow, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  23. Thanks for the kind words fellas. Exhaust and oil blow-by is next. Stay tuned, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  24. Hey Man, thanks for the kind words. Here a just a few of my favorite (look away: 1/48th scale ahead!) models. I have over 250 models in my collection- mostly "off the beaten path" aircraft. I know, I need professional help. Stay tuned, Quarter Scale Wiggy
  25. The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! The PROP is finished! With help from my good friend Peter, I finally got my brain wrapped-around this damn propeller from 1932. Removed ALL the previous fiddle-de-bits and scratch-built new fiddle-de-bits. This is as close as I can get to the "correct" adjustable pitch contol. My propeller is as finished as it's going to get. I managed to mask-off the R1340 crank case and spray some clear gloss for a little shine. I brushed the pushrods with some gloss top coat to better match those early photographs. Progress can be a beautiful thing. Out of the prop shop, Quarter Scale Wiggy
