LSP_Kevin
I know this thread is 10 years old now, but I'd love to know if this ever got finished - and see the final photos if it did! Kev Derek B, KiwiZac and Iain
Duncan Doenitz
There are some interesting extra bits in the Airfix 1:24 Spitfire such as a rectangular mirror, transparencies for under-wing lights, flare rack, head rest etc. I wonder what future variant they have in mind ? The Mk IXc is such a wonderful kit that the next version is on my wish list. A PR IX or a Seafire ? There is the facility to insert a different section under the fin which could be for one with an arrestor hook perhaps ?????
ajw1977
I really should dig this out! Last work I did was cut the rear down to fit a bubble canopy, I now have some wonderful parts from buchon that I can include.. now with the IX released perhaps I can mangle that as well. The wing folds are what trouble me the most, anyone keen to design and 3d print? Derek B and LSP_Kevin
