DaveJ Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Welcome to the GB Erwin! Looks like a fun project...
Erwin Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 Painted with a mix of 50/50 matt and satin Humbrol orange...
EPinniger Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Looks very nice! Very neat paint job on the airframe. You're making great progress, it looks like you build + paint even faster than I do! This is a kit I'd definitely like to add to my collection, I already have a 1/48 kit of this aircraft. Am I correct that this is the type codenamed "Willow" by the Allies?
Erwin Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 Am I correct that this is the type codenamed "Willow" by the Allies? Yes you are. Aka-Tombo means red dragonfly.
Erwin Posted September 18, 2008 Author Posted September 18, 2008 Done some rigging with the iron rods provided in the kit.
Spads57 Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Erwin, Coming along nicely. What are you using for rigging,I use invisable thread for mine.Excellent build my friend. Regards, Gregory Jouette
Haggis Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Bloody hell Erwin, you don't hang around! She looks lovely and it's so quick!
mywifehatesmodels Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Looking great, Erwin! How were the metal rods, to work with? I have this kit in my stash and have always wondered how difficult it would be to install them and if I would need to use something else, instead. I'm sure it's a case of "Measure twice. Cut once". Keep up the good work! John
