Revell Mig-29

Pulled this one out of the build pile. The kit pit is a bit sparse so I spruced it up a bit:

I used some parts from the spares bin, some Evergreen stock and fine wire.

Here's the pit after some paint:

I'm using the Black Box K-36 seat from my Flanker (the Flanker gets the Aires seat)

The kit came with the Eduard PE set so I decided to use the panel from the set rather than the kit one:

The seat in place:

More to come......

  • 5 months later...

It's been a few months but I'm still making progress on the MiG.

The paint has been applied and ready for the gloss coat in preparation for decals.

Are the colors wrong? Probably. But they look close enough to me. I used Tamiya acrylics for all the cammo colors. Wheel wells are xtracrylics.

There is still plenty more to do.

I hate to be the one to tell you this now that it looks like you're almost finished.. but there's already an F-18 on your six o'clock in one of your photos... such a shame to see such a nice plane blown up before you finish!

Great job!

Plus that F-18 is a BIGGER scale! B)

I'll have to tell the Mig pilot to pull a 'Cobra'.... ;)

Thanks Gary.
