  2. That’s an impressive start! Cheers, Tom
  3. Thank you! It’s one of my favorite schemes. Richard, thank you! I look forward to seeing you bring this kit to life. Cheers, Tom
  4. Thank you Mike! I’ll be posting in the RFI section when I get some time for better photos. Thank you Sasha! Cheers, Tom
  5. I always love watching your work Denis and this one is magnificent! Cheers, Tom
  6. Thank you Chuck! Your encouragement has helped me through the build. Cheers, Tom
  7. Thank you Jim, and it’s an honor that this is your first post! I too really gravitate towards the unusual schemes. I hope you enjoy your build as much as I did. Cheers, Tom
  8. Thank you! I’m pretty happy to see this one through. And I agree: N=n+1 where n is the number of FW-190 kits I have and N is the number of kits I ought to have 😊. Cheers, Tom
  9. Thank you Matt. It’s one of my favorite schemes as well. I’ll avoid the RLM 74/74/76 scheme whenever I can! Thank you Kev. I’ve appreciated your encouragement throughout the build. Thanks for seeing it through! Cheers, Tom
  10. Andy, thank you! I've really appreciated your encouragement through the build. Thank you Martin! As the build proceeded I was continually impressed with the engineering and level of detail that went into this kit. Thank you so much Denis! Your work has been a definite inspiration for this and my other builds. Thank you Mal! I had a lot of fun with the camouflage and the chipping. This last was done mainly with a Prismacolor grey and brown pencils. Cheers, Tom
  11. And I've finished the build at last. After starting in December 2023 it's rewarding to see this one across the finish line. I really enjoyed the kit a lot, from cutting the first parts off the sprue to positioning the landing gear indicator rods today. Like all Zoukei Mura kits that I've built (this is number five) I've learned a lot about how the actual airframe came together. This kit isn't without its challenges but with careful planning and dryfitting I can recommend it highly. Here's a few photos before the RFI post. Cheers, Tom
  12. Chuck, You certainly gave this kit due diligence and I appreciate the time and effort you put into tackling it and sharing this with us. On to better kits! Cheers, Tom
  13. Well done Alex! The build, paint, markings, and weathering all look great. Cheers, Tom
  14. That’s very impressive work! Cheers, Tom
  15. Well done Alex, those look like very good color matches with the decals. Cheers, Tom
  16. Go Chuck go! I’m in your corner. That assembly looks great so far. Cheers, Tom
  17. Thank you so much for sharing this. Your work is truly inspiring! Cheers, Tom
  18. Just catching up here Dave, and it looks great! Cheers, Tom
  19. I just saw this, haven't been over to the Non-LSP Works page in a while, but I love the work you and your son put into this. The I-8 is such a cool car and you both made it better! Cheers, Tom
  20. Making more progress: I've assembled, painted, and added the propellor as well as the gunsight and instrument shroud. For the propellors I faded the RLM 71 towards unpainted metal on the rear faces per period photos. Closing in on weathering! Cheers, Tom
  21. Thank you Kevin! Today I started prepping the prop and spinner, then on to the canopy. Cheers, Tom
  22. Thank you! And I tend to agree 😊. Thank you John! It's nice to be in the closing stages at last. Sincerely, Tom
  23. I've managed to complete painting and applying markings to the airframe, adding the stylized "5" over a white circle and the "2" that shows up on the wing leading edges. In the photos below the leading edge wing panels just outboard of the landing gear are just press fit, so they'll be better integrated once glued into position. Next up will be final assembly, and I realized that I last worked on assembly well over a year ago, so it's nice to bring this one to the finish line. Cheers, Tom
  24. C’est une construction magnifique ! Cheers, Tom
  25. Nice to see this progress! Cheers, Tom
