    Thanks Mike, glad to be here. Really inspired by the work I've seen on the website/forums, some really talented people out there. I've been out of the game for a while (three decades LOL) so easing myself back in slowly.

    This takes me back to when I was a kid, seeing for the first time the diorama that the late, great Shep Paine built of a battle damaged B17-G (Monogram 1/48 scale). Remember the full colour pamplets that Monogram used to include with their big 1/48 scale kits, featuring dioramas created by Shep? I spent hours poring over those when I was a kid.

    The Bf 109 and the B17, my two favourite aircraft, so this thread really couldn't get any better for me. And a remarkable story of courage and respect to go with it. Fantastic work so far, inspirational indeed. Looking forward to seing the end result. Thank you.
