  1. 10 days ago I finished a 1/48 Ju88T-1, dressed up as 4U+QK of 2/F123 in over-all blue. Assembled from Revell Ju88A, AIMS radials and AIMS decals (early birds pt.2), Falcon clear vax nose cone. Great to see these conversion sets coming! Let the negotiations with SWMBO begin about using one more room for model showcases!
  2. Excellent build and paint job, Sir! About the yellow "V" ID: according to regulations the bands should extend to the wing upper surfaces. See the entry for 21 September in the link below. But that does not mean the plane you are modeling followed regulations. HTH, Richard http://www.ghostbombers.com/markings/yellowvmarkings.html
  3. Squadron "in action nr. 106" on the P-61 p.10, tells of an improvised flyoff between an P-61 and a Mosquito Mk.17: The P-61 won hands down "We could go faster or slower up and down, faster than the pride of the British..": maybe your version was built after all and did perform in this fly-off? Richard Sorry, haven't figured out how to do a tongue-in-cheek emoji.
  4. Excellent build, Sir! The struts do look rather flimsy. Anyone know/willing to guess how much G that Mistel could pull before disintegration? Richard
  5. Now that is superb modeling! Richard
  6. You probably already know this photo, but here is anyways: Schnaufers tailplane on an Bf110G, from the Australian War Memorial collection. https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/C385374 In case the link does not work go to "Australian War Memorial", photo collection, search for "Schnaufer". Thank you for the great build and superb documentation. It's an inspiration! Richard
  7. A great build, and a great inspiration! The angle of the Schraege Musik does look very steep, close to 90 degrees. The preview pages for "Nachtjagd Combat Archives 1934" include a page (p. 51) on the "invention" of Schraege Musik http://www.wingleader.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/samplepages1943part1b.pdf After initial trials with SM at 90 degrees the vertical installation was found impractical, and the angle was reduced. HTH, Richard
