  5. Almost there looking really good, the Tamiya Corsair is such a sweet kit.
  6. Nice job on your 163, like the way your camo turned out.
  7. My Corsair is just about done a littler more weathering and a flat coat and going to call it done. Using Cotman water color and pastels for the weathering and some silver pencil some of the chipping. The wear spots around the wing and fuselage was rubbed off with a cotton tip applicator and alcohol. Its been well over a year on the model but it a great kit. Thanks for looking. Also like to thank Kevin, dodgwm37, Bomber County, Vandy, David, toadwbg, KUROK. for the compliments.
  8. Here is my DML Ho 229B, I like the look of the longer nose but not a night fighter. So I left off the antennas block off the second seat and cut the canopy free from the windshield. I also added more detail to the landing gear and wheel whells. The scheme and the markings is all made up its more Luft 46. I also painted the checkers and i used Gunze Sanyo. I have the ZM kit and when I build it going to paint it like this. Thanks for looking.
  9. Nice job Peter, Mustang is great looking airplane and yours turned out great.
  10. Nice job, the 229 is a cool airplane.
  11. Made more progress on my Corsair, I replace the num. 34 and LA CITY LIMIT. I said that I used the EagleCals sheet but it was the Eagle Strike sheet that I used. After looking at photos on the aircraft the numbers were the wrong style and LA CITY LIMIT was a bit large. The EagleCals sheet looks more correct and I had one so I replaced it and with that I had to touch up the fuselage. I also painted the wing walk or anti skid on the wing. Still going to weather it more install the gear door and antenna and it should be done. Thanks for looking and like to thank Anthony, alaninaustria, dodgem37, Loic, brahman104 and David for the complements.
  12. Great job on the mustang Peter, like the way the cockpit turned out and the placards gives it life.
  13. Its been awhile but I made more progress on my corsair. But first I like to thank craig, dodgem37, Kev, Marmaduke, BiggTim and the seat belts are from a wine bottle, David Hansen and DannyVM. I used Mr.Color for the paint 365 Gloss Seablue and 366 Intermediate Blue. The decals are EagleCals #20 VF-17 Jolly Rogers F4U-1A Corsairs. Still working on the paint fade and there is more decals to install. Thanks for looking.
  14. Here is my last build a tamiya P-47 48 scale. Did add to the cockpit and engine but not much more. I chose George Preddy P-47D Cripes A'Mighty just to be a little different. I will do his mustang but it will be in 32 scale. I painted with gunze and the decals are TGR Tarheel Ace part 2. thanks for looking.
  15. Its been a while but back to work on my corsair. Working on the engine so far I reworked the ignition harness and added spark plugs and ignition wires and oil lines. The wing halves are glued together, I did work the joint to get a good fit. The wing and tail are glued to the fuselage. Here is a few photos thanks for looking.
  16. Made a little more progress on my corsair, I wanted to have a oxygen mask in the cockpit so I took the pilot and cut off the mask and thinned it down. I glued the fuselage together and shot some paint to check the colors.
  17. Made more progress on the corsair interior the seat belt buckles are RB productions and the belts are lead foil. Replaced the throttle levers on the throttle quadrant Got the tail wheel area painted. Going to add more deail to the wheel wells
  18. Here is my new project Tamiya F4U-1A I used some of BarracudaCals cockpit stencils and painted the rest. Used some brass wire for some of the lines. I reworked the instrument panel and used epoxy for the lens not a lot left to do.
