Just got home and rechecked reference photos. Doug, of course you are correct. I think I just saw two because I thought there were two on all of them. Anyhow, I have corrected it. Thanks again for the info. I still like the way the double wires look better. Maybe I will have to build an earlier one.

I knew it was a while, but I didn't realize it had been 5 months. Lost my mojo. Happens to me on occasion. I still followed everyone's great work here. That is always good for getting motivated. I'm really not too far from finishing this thing. Got the antenna wire done. I know, not much, but a step in the right direction. Now if I can figure out how to attach the final canopy panel I will be good to go. It's the upper panel over the pilot. I want it to be open. I probably should have glued it to the section it attaches to before installing that section and in the end I may have to remove it and do that. Otherwise I will have to figure out how to hold it in place while the glue dries. Anyway, I am glad to be back at the bench. Thanks to all for helping me get reenergized.

No problem guys. I am enjoying the discussion on doing a black painted plane. Basically you can do pretty much anything, except paint it black. Also difficult to take pictures of something this large and this dark. Not sure if I can show a true representation of how it looks, but I'll give it a shot.

While I probably don't need one, I'm guessing a few are going to end up in the stash.

Finally got to do some painting last night. I thought I would be here sooner, but had to deal with some wing fit issues. A mix of Tamiya colors per Ralph Riese. I can't paint like Ralph, but I wanted to try to break up the overall blackness and am happy so far. More to do, but happy to be painting.

Hi all! I decided to jump on this for my next build. It will be a couple of firsts for me. I've never built a plane with more than one engine and never one painted black. I have been wanting to do this since I saw Ralph Riese's awesome build on Hyperscale a couple years ago. I love his paint work, not that I can duplicate it, but it does give me some hope that an all black scheme can be pulled off. I have done the cockpit, wheel wells, and riveting so far. I am tired, to the 25th power, of riveting at this point, but I like the effect. Not really sure if will even show under the black though. Really would have liked to do the cockpit in 02, but couldn't convince myself that it wouldn't have been 66. At this point I am just happy to be doing something besides riveting. Plus, I finally bought some WNW kits so I need to get this finished.
