Nice work Jeroen. Not seen that approach before with the wings. Well thought out. I'm currently trying to do a proper F.3 conversion, so of you fancy giving that a go give me a shout. Steve -

Jeroen. That is a very classy looking cockpit. Good luck with the seat belts. -

What I do is get a piece of square plasti-rod, make a 45deg cut. This surface is glued to the inside against the inner face of the exhaust bulkhead. Before it is attached I make a straight cut a few mm along and blank it off. This should do the trick. Go to almost the bottom of page two of my stalled build to get a better idea. http://z13.invisionfree.com/Tornado_SIG/index.php?showtopic=499&st=15 -

The fuel tanks colour would depend on where they were 'borrowed' from but you couldn't go wrong with barley grey as the 2250's were taken from the pointy ones. As for the u/c areas I use Revell sm301. This is an off white colour which looks about right. Just don't commit the cardinal sin of using white. Steve -

I would guess at cleaning out the last of the paint from the airbrush by having a hole in the side and a foam/sponge filter inside. -
No.

Joe. The nose ring is part No. 27. As for the clear parts, which part? The front canopy is 119, the main canopy 120 and then there are various other smaller pieces. However, I don't understand you needing the numbers as they should be the same on your kit. Also, the Tiger Meet kit has been discontinued so its very unlikely they will any spares for it. Steve

That is a cracking job you've done on the kit. Very nice indeed. Can't get enough Tiger Tonka's. -
Apologies for the slow update but I have been doing some Tornado stuff. Anyhoo, I glued the port wing parts together and oh dear. Now it could be me, I don't know, but despite making sure everything lined up properly I ended up with a bit of a trench between the lower outer wing and the boom. Not a big deal as I will just fill it with card and sand flush. It's just a bit of a surprise given the good fit so far. I have also attached the frame for the oxygen bottles in the rear of the main wheel well. Hopefully it will look ok once the bottles and plumbing are in place. Next jobs are drilling the holes in the wheel wells for all the associated plumbing and in the various boxes in the cockpits for all the wiring. TTFN, Steve

Put me down for one.

If you go to their search engine, type in P-61, 1/32, instock only, all that comes up is the kit. So it seems 'available' means 'on their way if you want to pre-order you pay now'. However, I have bought from them in the past with no problem and fairly speedy service.
-
Well, I for one will not be going back.
-
Are you mystified by kits that haven't been kitted yet?

I was having a browse for the True Details wheels for the P-61 and I noticed the Squadron were showing in stock. At $12.99 I thought, why not. Popped them in the basket and went to checkout. Put in that I live in the U.K. for the postage and guess what my total was? $67.99! Yes, thats right $55 postage for a set of resin wheels. Unbelievable rip-off. I shall just be patient and wait for them to be stocked in the U.K. Or am I just over-reacting? Steve

Not much of an exciting update but I thought I would let you see the start I've made to the nose wheel. Fortunately, Barnes' Widow had a cover on the outer side so that will save me a job. Steve

Totally understand Derek. However, I would much rather spend my money with a 'cottage industry' like yours than a large company. Steve

That would be nice.

I think that crown has already gone to John 'Tigger' Wilkes. Johan, I am also loving the worn effect on the bum tray. Steve

Oh, come on Tim. Where are the piccy's? Steve

Forgot to ask. Where does the cockpit green finish and the chromate start between the crew entry hatch and the nose u/c bay? My thinking is cockpit green as far as the sides and chromate on the horizontal surface and side of the bay itself.
