  1. Hi Marek , Why not use a photo copy of the decals . EX,1/32 to 1/18. 32 divide 18 x 100 will give you 177% that should give you the right size for the instruments. Use a heavy grade paper 65 lb 0r 175gram (same paper) and after you print seal the print before you put it in the instrument dail that way it wont run .Hope this helps Willi
  2. Hi Graham. I have gone through all 14 pages and not one pic of the build ? I would like to see your progress Willi
  3. Which type of paint are you using ? Is it the Mr Color ? For silver finish like Alclad I use the testors gloss black .You have to let it dry a day or two but it gives a great finish .
  4. Hi Ron , Never use lacquer thinner on any model the thinner eats plastic you might get lucky once in a while ! Best way I found is to put the parts in Windex with amonia or Clorox bleach .It takes a while but then you just scrub it off with an old tooth brush . Just did it with my Arado canopies , it saved my day Willi
  5. Dave , that`s a nice paint scheme .Love those colorful birds . Nice job on the model ! Willi
  6. all I can say is WOW . Love those Finish A/C. Very nice build
  7. Hi Martin , I don`t get to Germany as much as I used to ,sadly last time was 10years ago But that Museum is awesome From A/C to trains . The U-boot in the museum is something to see . Willi
  8. Hi Matin , That Me 262 looks very familar? Is it the one in the Deutsches Musuem. .I like what you done to your A/C love the rivet detail Willi
  9. Tomek Over done ! That engine is a awesome piece of work ,looks real to me . Willi
  10. Wow looks like you have some surgery to do on those struts . Hope to see the A/C standing on it`s legs soon Willi
  11. Thanks Mike , I know my photo`s arent that good(it`s Me) but the colors look better in person .I do use lighter shades but the photos dont show thart much contrast . I might have to do some outdoor shots . Well built the gunsite for the Arado ,since the one in the kit is a real joke ,a little clear plastic part that does not look like much . I also ran into problems with the front canopy .If I cant fix it I might have to order new parts .So no pic`s for awhile . Willi
  12. Hi Fozzy , I have been read this post in the background . the engine is cool piece of work . I say if it`s on the real plane it should be there .the oil tank looks great ! Have a nice trip .Be safe . Willi
  13. Hi Brian , Next time you have a problem with cast resin ,here`s what I do . get an alcohol -based marker . go over the area where there`s a problem .then take a paper towel dampened in alochol and wipe the area . it will expose all the imperfections and air bubbles .then you can fill all of the pin holes with Ca .Then with a light sanding should take care of the problem .Just dont let the Ca sit for a long time or it will be diffiicult to sand .Some thing that many folks don`t know is you can also use White-Out to fill pin holes and some imperfections . Willi
  14. Thanks Matt, That answers my question .
  15. This is an awesome build .I like what you have done with the engine I use white glue to fill some gaps in my models .it takes a few passes and is easy to clean up Willi
  16. Thanks alot , Mark Just need to find out if the radio operator use a head set ? like to add it if there`s one . I know in German tanks radio head set were used . Cant find any pic`s of the one`s used in A/C. Willi
  17. Hello everyone , Here`s another update got some work done on the hatch door s and added some detail to the rear gunners and radio operator`s position. I added some plastic strips to the interior of all the doors and also added all the baffles to the engine doors which were all hand fitted and sanded to shape . Here I got some more practic in cutting out some paper parts . the belt on the right side is a paper belt which I think looks much better then PE. Everything on the table is paper with a plastic backing . This week I`m working on the canopy which has been futured but I still dont like those tabs I might just Vac the parts . I am almost ready to get most of this plane decaled soon. Willi
  18. Hello guy`s Would anyone know if in Some A/c if the radio operator used headsets ? For example Me 110,Ju88 0r Arado196. I want to add it to my build but want to make sure it is correct .I know headsets were used in armour Thanks Willi
  19. Hi Dutik, I have been studying this A/c for a very long time and seem to find more things about it when it came back to the states and had the tail replaced on one of the photos port side right above the front canopy glass there is some writting in small print letters and numbers . As for the RLM 81 I have some old Xtra color RLM that the is more olive brown then violet in color . I just have put more effort in the Arado to get it finished before I start back on the He162 build .So it is in a storage box for another week or so . Dave I am not sure about the hydrlics and what function it does ,But I think the landing gears work off of those giant springs .I just think that is a cool video. Willi o .
  20. Hey Matt It was intimidating Yes ,but after studying the books .I think the hardest part is cutting out the small parts .I bought a new printer and some 65lb card stock so not to ruin the books .I was even thinking of making the parts larger 1/16th size . I would be cool to have a J88C that big ! Willi
  21. Thanks Tomek, I put the He on a hold right now . the canopies are being futured . I still have a little more to do on the seat . I got my Halenski Paper models . Not sure If I`ll go with Big matts paper to plastic yet ! Here`s a list of the ones I picked up 1/33 PZL P.11c 1/33 Ju88C-6 1/33 I-16 1/33 Buffalo B-239 1/33 Aichi D3A1 Val That should be enough projects to keep me busy for years! Just a thought maybe there could be a LSP paper model build on this site . Willi
  22. Hey Matt , It is looking fantastic .I`m breaking down I might start one of my paper projects sooner then I thought really cool work! Willi
  23. Hi Guy`s , Here`s another update : I finally got the halves mated together using 5 min epoxy . I forgot about the posts for the wing mounts so some epoxy got in the way .Which means I had to modify the wings .So anyone using this stuff make sure you block off the area for the wing mounts to aviod future problems like I had . I have most of the wiring and plumbing done Here`s the view from the bottom looking up at the radiator. Last photo of the Arado for now. Spoilers Here`s some photo`s of an up and coming project. Thanks for stopping by .Comments are welcome . Willi
  24. It looks great so far ! Pit done the rest sould go together in no time . Willi
