  1. with all due respect, but i think that is a BS story, wildly emagined by some people giving it a "conspiracy" way of thinking that a drone was responsible............ Give it a break........the most plausible approach to this tragedy is how it was explained by people who know what their talking about................................
  2. Well, i might, .....just might join this GB (first time for me joining any GB) with a Kyushu J7W Shinden , still having a lot of "outside" activity from LSP, but working on a Lockheed Cheyenne and it's "fighting" me (sorry Lee), so this GB might get me back to my mo-jo skills..............
  3. Cool pictures, giving a good impression indeed, thanks for showing Meindert
  4. Just ONE comment: LOOKING GOOOOOOD............
  5. And that's all for now, i have more pictures, but this is sufficient to get an impression, take care.
  6. Just to make things clear: I DIDN'T take those pictures, my son did, he has got a much better cellular phone with a "superior" camera, and mine is crap.........
  7. For the Boeing Bird of Prey (above) take a look at this wikepedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_Bird_of_Prey
  8. absolutely gorgeous, looking very very good and realistic, good job!!
  9. Now, THAT is indeed an aircraft i would have expected at the museum, but i didn't see it, and we were there for two days, but it might be in storage, or maybe displayed somewhere else, but i get what you're saying: it's in the details for sure. I don't know if the USAF museum has space elsewhere on the Dayton facility where more aircraft could be for future display. Jack
  10. the B-2 was a test vehicle without engines and cockpit interior, among other things:
  11. now, i HAVE to revisite the naval aviation at Pensacola to get a NEW picutere of what is displayed over there..........
  12. Well wasn't there since ages, hadn't seen all the buildings at that time, but fortunately they've been able to store the exhibits that where outside, inside the "hangar" space, but i figure a lot of more hangar spaces will have to built in future to house more and maybe all of the historical aircraft that haven't been on display yet.
  13. Ramstein, Bitburg, Wiesbaden, you name it, it was a time preriod that was "filled" with USAFE squadrons in our region, together with the only USAFE "royal" squadron in the Netherlands, the 32nd squadron at Soesterberg AB flying with the F15 Eagle with their royal crest, it is all in the past, with memories to match.......
  14. but in all , SAC sucks for 32 nd scale and higher, i really don't understand how this company had the purpose of creating gear replacements for this kind of kits, it'll be a marginal copy of the kit's design and then some...........it's a scam............
  15. this is soooo much more fun than IM kits, just the challenge to get it right, it'll be a looooong time before i'll get to it i'm afraid, but i'm looking forward to it......
  16. Well past weekend i visited the museum with my son, both aviation "nerds", coincidentally with memorial day (that should tell at lot......) and it was a pleasant experience to see all the exhibits in its perspective time-frame, took a lot of pictures (which i have to re-direct to display) so i'll be showing pictures afterwards but it was very pleasant to see so much history aviaton either in real "outfit" or like the B2 in a test vehicle without actual cockpit or engines (it's huge......), but i was really impressed by the presence of the big B-70 Valkyrie, dwarfing many displays below its wings, like the "have blue" vehicle and many others. Jack.
  17. looking really fine, hope to be finishing the Lightning as well as you did, among others these aircraft triggered my interest in aviation, as i saw them passing overhead my house on final approach to Geilenkirchen RAF base in the past, together with Javelins and Canberras before.......
