  1. That is fantastic work !! Ejoying it a lot. Do tell us how you did the chipping on the prop/spinner and the seat/floor!
  2. Recently completed and as I started using this great forum, then I'd better contribute a few older ones just for sort of a presentation Azur's Curtiss H-75 Hawk in the markings of Marin La Meslee Hasegawa Ki-61, Takeuchi's machine. Markings painted as it was before Hase released them. Pacific coast models Re2005 Trumpeter MiG-15 Trumpeter Swordfish Mk I (actually a Mk II that i converted - bought the wrong one) And some other stuff - that doesn't really belong here Hope you enjoyed it. Constructive critizism very welcome
  3. Hi I'm building the Trump Me262A-1a as Rudolf Sinners striped bird. This one has WGr21 rockets under the nose, mounted on the "Wikinger shiff" - viking ship - racks. These are included in the A-2 kit, so if you have that kit and are not going to use them, eg not mounting the big bombs, I'd like to buy them from you. Regards Thomas
  4. Looks great!! Quite an impressive array of resin you've got there. Swapped my 162 for some stuff for a project that never was. Really regret it looking at your build! Looking forward to seeing it progress. Thomas
  5. Way more civilized !! Looking great - can't wait to see the finished result!
  6. Goddammit (pardon my french...) Ok it's great news but for me a bit funny too... Last year (or was it the year before that?) I was thinking about doing something special, a vacform or even a scratchbuild. So I decided for a B-25 that I really like and I had started collecting references and buying bits and pieces - and WingScale came along. No point in going nuts when something that was apparantly very very nice would come and almost certainly be better than my efforts. Well - took me a while to get over, but eventually I made up my mind to do a A-20G - and WingXL popped up with their list. So... what to do. Next project was combining a Revell typhoon with a Hobbycraft Sea Fury to do a Tempest, I had started doing the drawings etc - and what happens? Lol !! Anyone have any special requests what I should contemplate next?? Be on the lookout for a A6M3 Type 22 or a Ki-45 in 1/32 !!
  7. LOL how this simple thread grew into something... well... other thing Thanks for the welcome, and I promise to show only plastic models (does silicone count?)
  8. Fair enough - thanks for the explanation.
  9. Hi there Just a newbie question - I keep getting "Moderator needs to approve" what I post. Is there something I haven't done in registration or is it just something I have to put up with until i become something more than 'newbie' ?
  10. I was just about to say "Frankensteins monster" but I'm sure it will be no monster when finished :-) Impressive piece of work.

  12. Amazing, inspirational, fantastic - I could and should go on!! Wow !
  13. INSANELY good Ralph - I've never seen such a fine nightfighter paint job (and a fine build for that matter). Deeply impressed
  14. If it is endeed 1/32 and they go for Swedish air force, I'd hope for a Cr 42 - that I'd like!!
  15. I've been thinking the same thing lately, and here's what I came up with: Like the others said the Sea Fury wing is the Tempest wing with the centre section taken out. The wheel wells and gear is the same on the Tempest and the Fury, but very different from the Typhoons. The fury wing has intakes in the inner leading edge that you need to remove - should be do-able. The Typhoon had a very different wing - very much thicker, so fitting the Fury wing on the Typhoon fuselage might be difficult. I'm thinking about using parts of the Fury fuselage combined with the Typhoon fuselage, although I'm not completely done checking out if there are differences I haven't seen yet. The Fury's cockpit was raised a bit for carrier operations, so I think I'll use the lower fuselage from the firewall (or bulkhead just ahead of the cockpit) back to some point behind the cockpit and then use the whole fuselage behind that. I must repeat I'm not completely sure this will be correct. You'll need to reshape the fin at least. I think you can use the top of the Typhoon centre fuselage and then use the Fury canopy Most difficult part in my opinion will be to reshape the rear part of the cooler as the Typhoon had the wing overlap and the tempest had the wing behind the cooler. A bit of shaping needed here. Does anyone know if the Typhoon spinner is appropriate for the Tempest?? How about the cockpit - more Typhoon than Fury or what? Wheels could be different as the Fury was a carrier plane while the Tempest was not.
