LSP_K2
I received this kit for Christmas this year, after wanting it for quite a long while, and decided I could wait no longer, so started it last night. As coincidence would have it, last night was exactly one month since I got it, but I was unaware of that at the time. mpk and BGB
LSP_K2
Believing that I would eventually get this truck, at some point I order the detailing set. Quite some time later, forgetting that I already bought one, I ordered another, so I have two complete sets to work with. There's a second set as well (with machine gun ring mount), and I think I have one of those too,... somewhere. mpk, BGB and CANicoll
LSP_K2
Lots of parts! All things considered though, it should go pretty quickly, I think. It'll probably take me longer to build the base, than the model itself. mpk and Girlscanplay2
LSP_K2
Kit is not without some pin marks. These (on the cab interior), will need to be dealt with.
LSP_K2
Bed is coming along nicely. I'll need to buy some ammo crates though, just for visual variety. mpk
LSP_K2
If cab is to be well painted, I'll have to do it in sub-assemblies. This is not my preferred method, but is what needs to be done if this model is to be contest worthy. mpk and CANicoll
LSP_K2
I really wish Tamiya had molded these rifle carriers separately, they'd be much easier to paint that way, but I'll do the best I can with them. mpk
LSP_K2
For the moment, this is the reference I'll be using, specifically for storage ideas. I've wanted to grab this and this for a while now, perhaps I'll order one of them in February. mpk
Iain
Great project Kevin - have a bit of a soft spot for softskins and love all the extras! Looking forward to seeing this come together... Iain LSP_K2 and mpk

Looking forward to seeing this come together... Iain Me too, should be fun. I've liked these trucks for a long while, and with a bit of care, they can really look great. mpk and CANicoll
LSP_K2
I just recently bought a 4x8 sheet of 3/4" plywood, but only need 12 square feet for my intended home project, so have 20 square feet left over, from which I can make bases for my George, this truck and a few others as well. mpk
LSP_K2
Front wheel/tire assemblies all finished now. Still some cleanup to do though. mpk
ClumsyDude
Looking good so far Kevin ... don't often see these get built, but I'm looking forward to this one. Jim mpk and LSP_K2
