LSP_Kevin
Nice work Jamie. It seems to be coming together quite quickly. Kev
Tallyho
Very nice, this is going to be a beauty, no doubt. But at this pace, do you think you'll be able to finish it by Dec. 15? The engine fits well inside the cowling so there is no need to add all the mountings as this would complicate the fit. Tonight I'm going to sort the fuselage seams out and attach the wings and tail, then it will be almost time for paint.
Haggis
The model is progressing well. The basic airframe is together, I need to sort out the wing leading edge seams and then I can break out the masking tape.
Haggis
As you can see a little filler was required at the wing root. I used Vallejo's stuff in a bottle, it's water soluble so you can wipe it off thus preserving the surface detail.
Haggis
Ouch, more needed on the undeside. I used milliput superfine white here.
DaveJ
This is coming along great Jamie! Quick, too... Looks like you'll be painting in no time.
LSP_Kevin
Nice work Jamie. Can't half tell it's the Trumpeter kit in the close-ups - all those rivets! Kev
Haggis
Hi gang. Here is the latest on my build and as you can see she is proceding quickly. I've nearly finished, just matt coat, weathering and dangly bits.

ruzlkampf
That's gorgeous Jamie! Nice weathering job. I really need to try a NMF...they just look so cool! Looks like this kit goes together pretty well. Good job! Russ

RandyB
Hi Jamie! Welcome back... Jeez, that was a quick build. Great job on the kit - those Trumpy P-47's are nice kits. With the exception of the windscreen goof, those are some of the nicest Trumpeter has released. How did the kit decals work out?
Haggis
Well, she's all finished. (Randy, the decals were superb).
