Dale, 02 is fine for a G-6. 66 is usually on later stuff like G-10 and K-4.

That looks awesome, Dale..my Revell G6 build -- stalled at the moment sucks big time, so much that I decided to close the cockpit!

You're doing some really impressive stuff here, Dale!

Oh, and for what it's worth, my understanding is that the change from 02 to 66 in the cockpits started from late 1940, during the latter stages of the Emil production run. By the time the 109F was introduced, 66 in the cockpit was standard.

I won't mate. I thought if I had have fitted it first, I'd have broken it while putting all that together. :)

Don't worry about your cockpit, I am doing the same with a Hasegawa build.

Notice the lack of photographic evidence? ;)

"The cockpit on this K4 is just wonderful!"  :innocent:

Now that Jay has been so rude in not responding to my demands earlier, grrr, I must apply 02 to the wheel bays!

Actually, don't tell Jay, but I sprayed 66 on a few days ago.

I just need to offload this gnawing sense of responsibility. For my actions. You know. Insane and all.  :deadhorse:

BUT! It was all just a case of my "pre-shading".  :piliot:

Okay, now I have you, I am interested in the wheel bays, legs etc. 02 or 66?

:D

Except for the inevitable exceptions, it should be 02 everywhere, with 66 in the cockpit. I would not be repainting that cockpit, however. It looks great!

Oh bugger it. Spraying 02 all over the place'll give me something to do. Until, THAT is, until a lovely member offers me more advice. Upon whom will rest ALL my responsibility!!!!!  :innocent:

Plus it'll keep me off the streets.

That can only be a good thing. ;)

On the G-10's and K-4's the wheel wells can be natural metal or 76 and probably 02 as well, the way things were at the end of the war. Existing paint stocks were used up I would imagine. The gear legs generally appear darker in pics so are thought to be 66. As we know though, there are not many absolutes with late-war Luftwaffe colors. Prior to that everything was 02 as Kev mentioned.
