Ol' Scrapiron
I finally got around to sorting through the pics of this engine during the impressive Air Show & Warrior Expo at McChord this summer and discovered I didn't catch anything that identifies what engine this is. Maybe some of the experts here will recognize it right off, or can offer a suggestion that I can follow up on. I try to keep my archives organized and don't like applying the "unidentified" label if it can be avoided. - - - Thanks in advance for any help with this. Dana Bell
What appears to be a gear housing in the nose makes me suspect that this is a turboprop; that the housing is centered in the intake makes me suspect a British turboprop. Other than that, I've no idea what cool engine you found. Cheers, Dana BiggTim, Ol' Scrapiron and MikeC
Ol' Scrapiron
Thank you Dana. I found a pic of a turboprop engine displayed at Travis AFB that looks spot-on. I'm satisfied with Pratt & Whitney T34 Turbo Wasp for my own archives unless someone convinces me otherwise. from the site: https://www.travisafbaviationmuseum.org/ Oldbaldguy, thierry laurent, MikeC and 2 others
Juggernut
Yep, that appears to be exactly what it is....
