geedubelyer
Hi gang, Can anyone help with some detail on the fuel selector lever on the instrument panel of a Spitfire please? This is the smallish panel and lever to the right of the compass. I have looked at plenty of cockpit images but as it’s mostly tucked away behind the control column it’s often difficult to see. There appears to be a horizontal tube or round bar through the lever in line with the plane of the IP but I can’t tell how it mounts to the panel. The black selector panel appears to float on the front of this assembly. Any help is much appreciated, thanks. Cheers.
dennismcc
Here's a link to some photos of the panel itself and of it in position, both the single and twin lever versions. http://spitfirespares.co.uk/fuel.html Here is the fuel panel with two levers, it is marked Top Tank and Bottom tank in the Pilots notes for Spitfire Mk.II.
