Photography Question: (Better lens and jpeg photos) or (smart phone and RAW) for LSP photos? And other neophyte stuff..

So the first photo seems like what i get in daylight, i live in Southern California and its almost always direct sunlight.  Wont that be too stark with the shadows.  The second photo, of the 109, is what i would like to be able to do.

Yes, bright sunlight isn’t the best light for outdoor photography, everything is too contrasty….unless of course that’s the effect you want.  That’s why I rushed out and took my Gauntlet pictures when I did, just a light cloud cover on an otherwise bright day.

I’ve been asked for some hi res pictures by Silver Wings but it has been too bright.
