Much like my B-24 J I'm building. Will need to have a think about how to blank it off.

Isn't there a blanking plate in the kit? If not you could use a circle cutter for the main hole and some

thin sheet to cover where the barrels stowed. I don't think it would be that difficult.

Don't think so but need to check but should be reasonably easy to make a blanking plate.

Looking at the sprue layouts online, it doesn't appear a blanking plate for the ball turret is provided. But, like you said, it shouldn't be too hard to fabricate.
