RLWP
So, I've picked up an oid kit from Kingkit, it is the 04703 FGA.9/MK.58 version. Reading around this kit, I came across something here about cockpit fit problems and how they were fixed in later boxings. Have I picked up a version with the problem (whatever it is) and how is it overcome? Richard
crobinsonh
Whilst I ultimately used the resin cockpit with the FP instrument panel I did test fit the kit cockpit first and as I remember it was all fine. This was on the F6 kit.

Tony T
There are two 04703 editions: the original boxing from 1998 with the incorrect tapered (as opposed to constant chord) ailerons and good-fitting but sparser cockpit tub (Hunter XF376 flying right to left on the boxtop); and the ca.2016 edition with the more detailed cockpit tub and corrected ailerons (box top has Hunter XE624 coming at you, and a small photo inset). The cockpit fits fine. HTH Tony MikeC

I'll go and check the parts Thank you Tony Richard
RLWP
Yep - that's what I have. Scribing, filling and gouging required Richard
