Zank_Frappa
Hi all, I'm working on a build of Fliegerstaffel 15's J-4015 "Papyrus", and I was wondering if anyone knew of any conversion parts for a Swiss mk 58, specifically the spent ammunition collection bulges (at least that's what I think they are) Thanks
Dave Williams
In 1/32? The Revell Germany releases of the Hunter FGA.9 contained parts for the Swiss Mk. 58, including the extended shell collectors with dispensers, cannon muzzle brakes, extra wing pylons, and AGM-65s. I believe the US Revell-Monogram reboxing deleted the sprue of Swiss parts. https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/rm/kit_rg_4703.shtml Edited November 25, 2018 by Dave Williams
Zank_Frappa
Hmm, that's good to know. I've been fiddling with making plugs for and sculpting the shell collectors all evening.
Dave Williams
Here’s a link to the Scalemates page, with a copy of the instructions. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/261434-revell-04703-hunter-fga-9-mk-58 You want either the original RoG release, or the 2014 rebox, with the latter being slightly more desirable as they included a couple of parts that were improved for the F.6 boxing. You don’t want the US boxing, or the F.6 boxing. Alternately, if someone just built a straight FGA.9 from the kit, maybe they can spare the Swiss sprue (the one with the big tanks and the AGM-65s). This is the sprue. https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/rm/images/rg_hunterf9_parts6.jpg Edited November 25, 2018 by Dave Williams
