The problem with the electricity cable was twofold: it didn't have plugs and it was elastic and thus difficult to form exactly the way I wanted.

I solved this by first sawing up two rod pieces:

... then drilling holes in them:

... then filing and shaping the other side so that a slope-like form was derived. Then the plugs were glued to the ends of the hose.

What you see in the back is a post-it (yes I know ;)) I measured the box in which the cable would be deposited and drew the outline on the post-it. Using Tamiya tape upside-down and attaching that to the post-it with two other pieces of tape, I thus represented the box floor. I put the first plug on the sticky side and guided the cable within the virtual box. Where it overlapped or crossed another part of the cable I used a drop of super glue. The more drops of glue, the sturdier the construction became.

Airbrushing matte black (also a bit of tyre that didn't come out well the first time):

Finally the whole package could be easily removed from the tape by using a small ruler.

Coming to an end: drilling holes in the side tubes and one of the two (reproduced) tubes of the generator. Using a small drill, then a bit larger, then a bit larger still:

Fine-tuning the wheel hubs rust, painting the generator switch red and black, weathering that, glueing the three main parts together and then using the XF60 paint and a bit of wash to complete this model:

  • 3 weeks later...

Yesterday I took the chance to ask my girlfriend to make some better pictures of this cart. So here they are, to round off this thread. Bear in mind, the one thing that has to be done is give this thing a matte coating.
