ChuckT
I was wondering your thoughts are on the color Tamiya calls out for the cockpit and engine bay of their great 1/32 spitfire kits? They call for unmodified XF 71 for both the cockpit and engine bay. To me it looks a little dark but I'm no RAF expert. What do you guys think? Av8fan
I had the same question not too long ago. There is also Gunze H312 to muddy to waters.
toadwbg
They look close to me, within 1 standard deviation. I use them interchangeably. After a good wash and dry brushing in the cockpit- who is to tell you the color is off?
LSP_Ron
To my Mk 1 eyeball Model Masters RAF interior green is 100% dead on. Ron
Edgar Brooks
The colour of the cap is a better guide than the paint inside. Edgar
Minnesota
Hi Chuck, Testers gives us FS numbers, many have said their Enamel 1716, Acrylic 4739, labeled Pale Green FS34227 is close to RAF interior green: http://www.colorserver.net/showcolor.asp?fs=34227
Allok
I use XF 71 on just about everything, but I'm not really all that fussy.
