New Seamless Intakes

Hi Guys and Gals,

There is a new company on the block called DMold Modelworks. The chap that runs it used to make all the masters for Cutting Edge and is now setting up on his own.

First in large scale is a set of intakes for the Tamiya 1/32 Phantoms and they retail for under £16!

Hi Graham,

Do you know of any US retailers carrying these yet?

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

Not as yet I'm afraid but I do ship Worldwide. If you add any item to the shopping cart on my site, the cart then shows actual shipping costs.

In this case, a set of these intakes would cost £3.19 to ship to the US via airmail.

Any idea when the seamless intakes for the 1/48 Hasegawa F-4J might be out?? How about the 1/48 FG.1/FGR.2 intakes?? Put me down for a set of each please!

Cheers,

J

Hi J,

Hi Graham,

Quick question if you don't mind....

It's been posted in several places that these are from a former Meteor mold-maker, and I've no reason to question that, but does this mean that these are in fact the same intakes? If they are I'm inclined to take out a bank loan, but if they're prone to the fit issues of SS intakes I'd have to pass.

Straight scoop please?

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

I don't mind at all.

The chap in question is Dimitri Malkov who did the masters for Meteor for the last 5 years. He split from Meteor BEFORE their recent demise, over numerous issues. He has also mastered several kits.

Dimitri is improving on his original masters as it is his intention to make his product of better quality than the previous Cutting Edge ones. He is making his own moulds and not re-using Cutting Edge moulds. To this end, you will find that there are no fit issues with the Phantom intakes. Think Cutting Edge but better.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions, ask away.

Graham,

A set of the 1/32 intakes plus shipping, what does that convert to USD wise?

Started to order a set or two but thought I better find out what the cost was

going to be on this side of the pond.

Cheers,

Jerry

Oh please, I need a set of intakes for my 1/32 F/A-18D. I hope those Cutting Edge intakes were his too. I missed the boat on those, always thinking meteor would be around forever and ever...

Hi Tim,

Never fear, I'll add these to the list.

If anyone else has any suggestions/requests, feel free to add them here.

The Super-Detailed A-10A Cockpit would be a great resurrection from the previous catalogue. I'm just not quite at the 'I'll pay three times what they once cost' stage for some of the Ebay deals i've seen.

Hello

I buy the seamless intakes for the tamiya Phantom. Thanks a lot for Relish Models, only three days after ordering the package arrived in my house in France, a very quicly business.

As regards seamless intakes the quality is widely superior than the C.E.

Thanks for this good idea to manufactured this set.

Bye.
