  1. Hi - did this get released? Best Paul
  2. Inspirational buildup! Have One in the stash - will use this thread as a guide. +++
  3. Beautiful! Very inspirational. Is that a big-tail Dora? I have one in my stash and am looking for a scheme other than the kit decals. Best Paul in SF Update : Thanks Bellis - good thing they have a regular tail too in the kit.
  4. Thanks Neil for the link. I went ahead and ordered the SH kit - we'll see!
  5. Both kits are supposed to be short in the tail. See this post re corrections: https://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=81364&sid=e54a8f3c819831be237d7a658cb53d58
  6. Got it - thanks! Ok, Kevin read your article on your excellent build - looks like if you left out the internals (engine, etc.) the kit would be an ok build? But then, why pay for them I would build it closed up anyway....
  7. Good comments! Thanks guys - maybe leaning towards Revell/Special Hobby now.... Kevin - what issue of Air Modeller was your build in? Best Paul
  8. Hi all: Looking into getting a P-39 in 1/32 - which is the "best," in your opinion? Looking for a D, N or Q....leaning towards the Kitty Hawk, but there's also Special Hobby and Revell. Regards, Paul
  9. I got the 1/32 Revell early Mustang P-51D I ordered from Kitlinx yesterday - pretty good service: ordered Sunday 6/24 and arrived 6/28!
  10. Kit Link shipped mine already, it's on the way!
  11. I wanted the early to do Passion Wagon in camo.
  12. Thanks all for your responses! Ordered one from Kitlinx! We'll see if they can deliver. Paul P.S. WTH - is everyone using the WNW marketing tactic now? I.e., make fewer kits than demand.
  13. Does anyone happen know of a source in the US with kit in stock? Other than Amazon - $59 + Paul
  14. HI Buzz: Interesting project - I have one on order so I'll be following in your footsteps. What P-51B are you modelling? I'm thinking of: Cheers, P.
  15. Hi all: I have a 1/32 Hasegawa Ju-87G Kanonvogel - I'd like to do the undercarriage without its spats. Does anyone happen to know if a supplier offers just replacement struts to do that? I believe a Rutman resin set has those parts, but I don't think I'll need anything but the bare struts. Thanks in advance for any input! Cheers, P.
  16. Thanks, Ian! Does it have a small tank? Not sure how loud 55db is - do you need to use ear protection to use it? Might be moot points - I don't see them sold here in the colonies.... Cheers, P.
  17. Thanks Dr Dave! I'll check it out. BTW, what are you a doctor of? Cheers, P.
  18. Hi all: I've been using a very loud, industrial strength compressor for airbrushing....although it has a nice large capacity tank, I'd like to find a small, very quiet unit - e.g., one I could use inside during the Winter. Does anyone have one they could recommend? Thanks! P.
  19. I ordered one - I guess I'll sand it down a bit and do the little fixes as needed. Overall sounds like an ok kit. Cheers, P. P.S. Ok, it arrived. Although the wings, especially, seem to be overdone in the riveting department, overall it's a pretty impressive kit. Nice features (engine, flaps, gear) & selection of decals. For 30 bucks, I'd say it's a keeper!
  20. Thanks for the update, Jerry! A most interesting subject for any scale modeler! Cheers, P.
  21. ....Looking at the same photo (on page 23 of Jerry Crandall's "Yellow 10" book) the spiral is definitely there...but the rear half of the spinner looks black. Must've faded differently.. P. P.S. - Great book, by the way!
  22. Hi all: Looking at the Squadron FW190D Walk Around book - the beautiful D-13 (p. 75) " looks like" it has a spinner with a half dark, half light paintjob, instead of the spiral I've always seen it (and as the profile on p. 76 depicts it)....may be the start of a spiral in the photo.... Any ideas? Cheers, P.
  23. I assume at some point JR will do a D-13, my fave! Cheers, P.
