  1. Thanks Guys. I was aware of the Italeri release at the time, but didn't pursue it because I couldn't afford it. Now I'm v tempted.
  2. Are you sure Is it the Italeri kit reboxed? If so, then count me in. If however, it is the old Revell kit doing a re-pop, then no, only because I have three in the stash already. Anyone already got one in this box to confirm please?
  3. That crash referred to earlier- was it P6999 of 263 Sqn, crashed Saltford Railway Yard on 9/10/41?
  4. Do you have a photo spare of your Vulture please? Rolls Royce has some, I just want to compare remains. TIA.

  5. Thank You for that picture. I've been on the lookout for those measurements for years. Virtual pint on its way!
  6. Mine arrived this afternoon. In some areas, it gives the feel of a smaller kit resized upwards, particularly the cockpit consoles. Otherwise, it is an excellent canvas on which to detail and improve. The locator pins are massive and impart a solid feel throughout. You get a lot of model for the money, in an age where £70-100 gives you a not particularly large 1/48 kit. https://imgur.com/a/leUCsxJ
  7. Yay! Thanks for that! Each time I've looked till now, it was always the built up kit that appeared.
  8. I have been waiting for one of these. Can someone give me a steer to a retailer please?
  9. I've wondered this. What is the difference? Is it possible to make 117's from them. I know I've got some, somewhere.
  10. I honestly think Airfix would be crazy not to release a Spitfire IX with maybe a later low-back XVI as a later edition (Typhoon car-door style) to modern standards. We must all have an early Spit somewhere that can be cannibalised to provide a shorter nose if an earlier version is wanted. Think of the conversion possibilities if a few rudders and wing-tips were to be included. Money in the bank Airfix! Are you listening!
