  1. i think this is my first finished model post here......i hope it's liked

this is the old tool hasegawa A6M5c with the metal cowl and undercarriage .....it's an old kit but still builds up well...the markings are for a plane flown by Saburo Sakai in 1945.

the kit is out of box other that a set of stunning Eduard wheels...and it's my first serious attempt at weathering....pretty happy with the results.

it's been an enjoyable learning experience...i'll be playing with weathering in the future

  2. Very nice!! the kit is actually an A6m3, not a -5 but you did a fine job on it!!

this kit has the short span wing of an A6M5....there is also an A6M3 model22 kit out there...i compared the wing on this to drawings....its definitely an early 5...there are pics out there online of a couple of A6M5's without the ejector exhusts.

and thank you all for the kind words and welcome.

  3. this is my first post here and also my first 1/32 scale kit in a long time.

it's the 21st century toys A6M5(though oddly boxed as an A6M2)..i had a few problems with glue, normal plastic glue wouldnt hold it  so it's done super glue.

the kit goes together really well and heaps of detail, one thing about the finished model is it's a unique version of the A6M5,it's a very early one with a full collector exhaust, apparently only around 200 were built like this,so it gives a pretty interesting model on the shelf.
