Review of the 1/48 Lancaster on The Modeling News
mpk replied to Uncarina's topic in General Discussion
If ever I was going to build a 1/48 heavy bomber, it's the Lancaster. (I never liked the Tamiya kit. I don't know why.) I have the cockpit kit. It will be nice to show them together. I have an idea of a wooden display base.... Thanks mate. -
Oh no, I was thinking Riefield armour. I never was the sharpest knife in the drawer. And it keeps getting worse. My memory is deteriorating rapidly. Too many chemicals have destroyed my brain. It can be seen on scans. I wonder how long I've got.

This was the first YouTube video I saw in my feed this morning. Followed by a new Mark Felton video. I am interested in this kit but I've no room. I reckon I can fit 3 more kits into my flat. Dora wings D-500. Special Hobby Whirlwind and 1/72 Italeri Sunderland.

How on earth did I miss this??? P.W. you motor through these builds like Gilles Villeneuve! The 190 is gorgeous! Looking forward to the Emil. -
Can you link your RFI?

Thanks mate. I used my Harder and Steenbeck Silverline with a 1.5 needle and nozzle. I've been clear coating it with my Infinity with a .2 needle nozzle set.

Thanks Gaz. I broke the wing off again earlier. It's the model that doesn't want to be built. Happily I was able to repair it until next time.

This is all happening in real time. Having brushed off excess chalk and pigment, I just gave it a flat clear coat. I am making this up as I go along. Unsure what next to try? I now have well over 1000 photos of hurricanes. Some BoB hurricanes weathered greatly, others not so much. I guess it was due to how busy they were. Here's a couple of reference photos I am using.
-
I have begun the very slow method of my weathering.
-
Thanks guys. I am about to add some hurricane photos to my group build thread. 1st photo.

Pup is correct. There is furniture! You may now relax.

I can explain. Your computer is connected to a thing called, Internet. While there's no actual net involved, somehow it catches fish. A fish is a slimy and smelly thing that swims around all the time. Your email is not using fish. There is a thing called, letter. This is a letter -> K. Not to confuse you, but there is another kind of letter. This type of 'letter' contains many letters formed into 'words'. If you are confused, do not feel bad. I am also confused. You will need a stamp. Your computer doesn't have a letterbox. It has a virtual letterbox. This differs from the other letterbox in that it is in your home. Are we clear? Yes? Good. You will need to write your letter and then buy an envelope. Throw the envelope away. You won't need it. When you visit the post office, hand over your computer and ask her/him to "please post my email." I hope this is clear. You're welcome.

Ha! I was so out of it when I posted this, laughingmy head off. It may be idiotic, but then I've never denied my idiocy. Indeed, I celebrate it! Everyone else has to deal with it.

Hey guyS. I've gone cold turkey for a week. My pain level is serious but life was never meant to be easy. I seem to be running out of medications to try. Life's a funny thing. I am at this time choreographing an awards ceremony. All while hiding everything. A child is involved. He cannot see it. However! The replacement decals for my hurricane arrived today and I repaired the paint work, added the lost decalmand have begun weathering the model. Over the rough first days I worked on a tank. Thanks guys. Stay safe.

Hi guys. Yesterday I began a new course of medication. I cannot have it again due to serious side effects. Following a meeting at casualty I have been taken off this drug. It caused hallucinations and confusion. I will see my professor tomorrow (Monday). I'll be away for a few days until something can be stabilised. My apologies. Dale

Hello sailor!

How can you build a model if you're dancing??? No CA on earth......!!!!!!
-
My mind is not at ease!!!! In the navy group build, because fun loves a crowd.
-
Here in Sydney, the celebrated Gay and lesbian mardi gras takes place. All the cool people are out and about. I am home. Did you guys plan this??? Because, (cue music!) in the navy you can sail the seven seas. In the navy..... Are entrants required to be cowboys, police men, Indians.....? I don't even own a comb. Shunted out of the way once again. Typical.
