  1. Hello Kevin, I'll resume my MiG-29K maybe in Summer. Can you please move the Thread to normal WIP? Or should I open new Thread there? Chears
  2. After putty and sandpaper party, I was happy to build next parts. But I got new problems immediately... Size of the part is very strange. Too small?? Here is not bad, OK. Like a ground crack. 1mm width. Putty don't work on this area, so I must use the plasicsheet. But first I'll do a little break because this thing has discouraged me... Cheers, Hiroto
  3. And little update: The nose section with plastic sheet adjusted. But I must still puttying and sanding... It looks without any puttying already spectacular. Homework with putty is horrible. I shouldn't have fumble there... Sally I don't like Green Putty. So I used superglue + baby powder putty. Standard mixing ratio is 1:1. It works with old superglue perfectly, because It does not dry quickly (over few hours) and air bubbles in putty go well away. It means but also, that you should not use superglue activator. #400 Sandpaper works enough for superglue + babypowder putty. Without hustle you can sanding down it cleanly.
  4. So... Some progress! Engraving on this aria was horrible. I would like to gave up. Cockpit builded and brushed. For litte tiny switches I used Tamiya Enamel Color as usual. Sanding down or puttying the material for better surface adjustment between the wing and airplane body. Trumpeter maybe didn't worry about thickness of screw head.
  5. Well, it turns out, it will be not 100% OOB... I modified gun muzzle area with plastic sheets. Trumpeter mold sucks! Because I saw this pic... https://www.flickr.com/photos/avgeekjoe/7189181593/
  6. Hi, I was almost for 3 weeks very busy... So, I'd like you to say "Hello gain!" and give you a little update. Panel line & rivet details were quite soft and surface was rough. Again, engraved and sanded for long time... Regards
  7. Thanks Jack! I Your comment was good for me Either little update... Drop Tank is almost ready for paint. Regards, Hiroto
  8. Thanks @John! @Ryan Very impressed I'm not sure, that I can build like that, but I'll do my best as greenhorn
  9. @andromeda. Let me see... I need more concentration and motivation for scale model building, but I don't have yet. Glueing the missiles and pylons gone therefore not good. Glue stains on R-73 and R-27... @Ryan Yeah, I also don't like a kit's seat. Pitot tube and static discharger unfortunately too. Though OOB I should replace them. I'm planing to use a QuickBoost's seat and the Master Model's tubes.
  10. Thanks guys!!! @andromeda I thought, I can build the wings folded as default without scratch building, but it turns out, that it allows only in stretched position. Because it's OOB, I will build it stretched
  11. Hello, little Updates, including Missiles. That's it Quite difficult to match my motivation with my free time. It will be looooooooong work. I'm still engraving pylons. It takes a long time, but pretty effective. Missiles airbrushed. Waiting for filtering and decal process. I'm using Tamiya's Enamel Brown for filtering. Masking work was a bit tricky. Little bit stinky, but Mr. Color GX Series have great pigment, opacity and durability. White on black is no problem. Almost done! They only need to be sealed with Mr. Color Super Clear semi gloss (gloss for metal section)... Cheers, Hiroto
  12. @andromeda I think not different than armor. As you wrote, it is brittle AND soft. Not comparable with Hasegawa/Tamiya quality. @BradG I have no idea, where I will display it... @Martinnfb Thanks a lot for you great photo posting!! Specially rare photo from instrument panels. Looks good.
  13. Hello! I'm maybe slower than Captain Slow... Too many missiles for me! Because panel lines are very softly detailed, I engraved all of them. Fitting of KH-31P is pretty bad. Both (L1 and L2) Parts have different width. But oder missiles are fine. Pylons are still in assembling... Hier are rudderparts. I sanded the back sides down for clean glueing. Photo etched part was too glossy, so I sanded it rough. I need less putty. Yippee!
  14. You are such crazy scratcher, dude! Nice work
  15. I'm looking forward to your build with gorgeous aftermarket parts. Can't wait.
  16. Thanks guys! @andromeda673 Weapon arrangement may unrealistic, but I know after light Googling, which weapons I'll be build. @Ryan Yes, I think only two MiG-29K test airframe are there. The history of MiG-29M and MiG-29K is quite complicated (and I don't know all)... I'll build light grey + green scheme with folded wings. Hiroto
  17. Hey Guys! I'm from Japan and living in Germany. I would like to introduce my new project to you! It is my 3rd LSP-Project already (1st: Kinetic/Italeri F-86, 2nd: Hasegawa/Revell P-3C), but I'm very impressed from this box size. So huge! And too many sprues... It blows me off. Because I have not many experience with big scale models (I'm building normally 1/48 scale jets) and don't never want hustle for any accuracy correction, it will simply out of box. But I have no idea for weapons. Any suggestions?? Thank you for reading my topic! But sorry about my terrible english... Cheers, Hiroto
  18. My english is not good, but can I do my WIP too? With Trumpeter MiG-29K? Hiroto
