  1. Back at the bench after a very nice relaxing holiday, first thing is to repair that damaged snake decal, I ended up ordering another set just for the repair's as for the sake of around £10 its far easier and not worth loosing sleep over Looking forward to getting this one weathered up and finished in the next couple of weeks now. Regards. Andy
  2. Nice progress on this Kev, looking really nice under a coat of primer......cant wait for some colour. Regards. Andy
  3. Fantastic looking F-16 Peter, Lovely subtle weathering. Regards. Andy
  4. Great progress Jay, very neat, clean work.......looking foward to more. Regards. Andy
  5. Well here's the final piece of the Profi set which is the canopy frame details And here is a shot of what you get for your money at around £24.oo GBP........not cheap at all but its a great set and I really like the resin parts in particular Thanks for looking guys. Regards. Andy
  6. Fantastic decal work Jay, I'm with you on the if you can replace broken parts thing.........had the same problem with a damaged decal on my Stuka build, cost me £14.00 for replacement decals which was a bit of a no brainier and not worth getting stressed about. Regards. Andy
  7. Exactly how an earth did I miss this one.........this is looking so good out2gthca. Regards. Andy
  8. Wow Peter........she is looking pretty cool.......fantastic job. Regards. Andy
  9. Jay....this is looking so very nice.......really want to try a WNW build but I know if I do I will have a stash that wont ever get get built so I will just enjoy these kind of amazing builds. Regards. Andy
  10. Nearly there with the Profi update set now, rear upper deck detailed this afternoon Also squeezed what I cold into the forward fuse and this for me no matter how beautiful the moulding is is where HK fall down with this concept........adding detail to this is very difficult and then painting it properly.......well lets see. The time honored fuselage halves are definitely the way forward still after all these years it would seem. Thanks for looking and as always both your comments and criticism are always very welcome. Regards. Andy
  11. Jay......this is looking amazing, beautiful work. Regards. Andy
  12. Mal, maybe try carefully drilling and pinning with brass rod, otherwise I'm clean of out of idea's, had a look on Hannants website and no metal replacements for the Tamiya kit only the Trumpy one but maybe an idea. Step away from it and you will find a way to sort it, feel a bit bad bad to be honest Mal as I mentioned the seam lines and then saw your post.......only after some one else decided a sarcastic comment, surprised on this forum as we all strive to do our best and help each other.......very much looking forward to seeing some more of the said persons beautifully finished builds on the forums very very soon as don't think I have seen any recently. Good luck on this one Mal Regards. Andy
  13. Hey Mal..............I am no master modeller or anything, just loving my hobby, I have been here on this one earlier in the year on my Spit and the best thing to do is walk away from the build a little while, personally I jumped onto my Ju-87 and had a blast building again and came back to the Spit and finished here to a suitable degree I was happy with. Please don't give up. Kind Regards. Andy
  14. AHHHH Man..........I had a major problem like this on my last Spit build......ended up using some AM metal undercarriage and got there in the end.......do not give up on this one as it is fixable as I was there earlier in the Regards.Andy
  15. Hey Mal.........she is looking absolutely stunning........but may I say although they are beautifully weathered the damn mould seams on the rubber tyres are jumping out, please take that as constructive criticism only.......just my preference but always go for resin replacements. So looking forward to seeing this one finished. Regards. Andy
  16. Both cockpit sidewalls received the etch treatment tonight...... Starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel on the cockpit detail now.............or is that light at the end of the nose cone....... What an amazing piece of plastic moulding......one problem though is I need to fit a fair bit of etch/resin detail in there and then try and paint it!! Should be fun. Regards. Andy
  17. Just had another look at your pics and I have to say you have managed a fantastic job on the wing joint.......looks very clean with almost no filler? That joint is a pain because if its wrong then it impacts on the wheel spat fit and if its a poor fit and requires filling then you cant attach after painting as you really would want to on this build and attaching before painting to get a nice finish with no gaps after filling means a very fun job with the masking tape.......difficult bird to mask this one. Keep the updates coming as its looking great. Regards. Andy
  18. Thank you for your kind comments Mal.........hey this is a great kit.......maybe you should consider one for yourself with you Corsair build starting to come to close Regards. Andy
  19. Cool......thank's for that Mal.........still kicking myself over that one but lesson learnt and rest that reel of tape in the bin as to annoyed to use again. Regards. Andy
  20. Decided to spend a little time on my mossie this week while my Stuka build has slowed just a little, so back to the PE and cockpit rear bulkhead detailed up tonight. Next up the side panels, slowly getting there with the Profi modeller set.............just hope its worth the effort once the cockpit is all together. Thanks for looking. Regards. Andy
  21. Started looking at the smaller detail parts which need working on to complete this kit, first up the radio operator/navigator's MG, I have gone for Aber's beautiful machined update set. Also working on getting the HD prop set painted and decalled before holiday time. Regards. Andy
  22. Nice start, its a great fitting kit, looking forward to some paint, Regards. Andy
  23. Beautiful looking cockpit, fantastic work. Regards. Andy
  24. Very nice work on the exhaust stains Mal........one thing I noticed on those b/w pictures is I think that corsair has odd mismatched tires fitted.......adds a little interst maybe. Regards. Andy
  25. Great job, looks mighty fine. Regards. Andy
