  1. Good Day everyone I am one of those many that read a lot here and very rarely post but learn a lot form all the insight and comments. I have not purchased the HB B24 YET! But it is calling my name as the LHS has one J in stock. I have been building models for 50+ years and I look for scale correctness in the overall shape in the kits I buy. Although the turrets are a concern I am looking at it as a chance to scratch build them, and make the subject the correct version of the model I am doing. ( Zodiac "Leo" first version 42-52768) At this time there are no decals for the nose art but that can be hand painted. So From my side the Hobby Boss B-24 is well worth and cost and effort even with the issues, just where am I going to put it once it's done!
  2. So has there been any progress on the build? Harvey, I only had a small amount of the soft wire, and nothing for the choice of sizes. I need it for many things, but currently for the endless amount of plumbing under the deck of the Revell 1:72 scale uboat. (Scratch built the complete pressure hull) Greg
  3. To All, Isn't that want this site is about, modelers helping modelers to enjoy our hobby. I have been building plastic model kits for 50 years now and still learn something new all the time. Veiwing builds, seeing an in-progress photo can bring a new thought as to how you can change something on your next build. Thanks to Brian's posts here I was out to Bass pro shops and picked up the 6 pack of soft wire, and ordered some very small nuts and bolts and stuff. See you can always learn something new! Greg
  4. I am collecting the kits and add-ons to build the aircraft I crewed. That way I can cut it down to 3 planes. (F-100 #034, A-7D #044, and F-16C #045, crazy how the tail numbers worked out)But have a question as to which curent F-16 kit to use to build a F-16C model block 42. The aircraft was fitted with a PW 200 and then a PW220, although that would not change the airframe itself. I with probably need to add the falcon up mods but that's not a big deal. So kit experts..............what say you?
  5. Brian, I will be at the IPMS event in Omaha on Saturday and have a Trump SU-27UB and I would be willing to part with the canopy to replace your cracked one. (No Charge) As I will not be building it of a time yet, and will either be using Zacto canopy or vac my own. Are you interested? Greg
