Zola25
Hi I am thinking about building a Luftwaffe F-4F but using the F-4E Tamiya kit - What differences would I need to consider apart from the slatted wings? Thanks Niels
stusbke
the stabilo's IICRC they have non slotted ones. and in the pit some extra buttons and a different lay out on some panels but other then that its the same bird. no bottom wing spar stiffner! Mind you German F's always deploy their slats and open up the gun gas door on the ground. So you'll need a set that has the option to pose them in the open possition when making a static one. also depending on the time frame there are some different additional stiffners / patches on the intakes. These came from some tetst they need to do in order to expand the life time of the airframes. But like I said thats depeding on what airframe and what time period you want to make the F4F. Reference is key on that subject HTH Frederick Jacobs thierry laurent, Zola25, RBrown and 1 other 3
thierry laurent
An easy solution: get a Revell kit and use it as a conversion set for the Tamiya kit. This should give you everything required: stabs, slat wings, high-g drop tank, IP panels, late AIM-9, decals... Zola25 and Dragon 1
