WWII Marine Corsair pilot’s fight log on line

Recommended Posts

Back in the 80s I made friends with a gentleman, Jim Wilkins, who flew Corsairs with VMF 225, and he let me make copies of his pilot’s log. I've scanned the pages and put them on line, so if you would like to know what it was really like, you can view his log.

There are 23 pages total. This LINK takes you to the index. Just click the picture in the upper left to start and then click the NEXT button (or use the arrow keys) to proceed. You can enlarge the pictures by clicking the "original" option under each picture.

Spoiler alert: No glory hounds, VMF 225. These are the flyers who fought in obscurity, but they fought, died and served with pride.  Enjoy.
