Citadelgrad
I dutifully dipped my P47 canopy in future and was really happy with the result. I know some guys polish, but the residue left from masking is probsbly still an issue. My canopy looks pretty grungy. Whats the best way to get rid of masking residue and or just grime from having the tape on, washes, etc? Did i just leave the tape on too long? is there any fixing this? LSP_Kevin
As long as you haven't painted the canopy frames with enamel paints, you can spray a bit of WD40 onto a cotton bud, soak off the excess, and then gently rub away any residue and grime. It also imparts quite a satisfying shine to the clear plastic! Kev Woody V, Gazzas and Citadelgrad 2

You should be fine, but exercise restraint and caution all the same! Kev

Kev Restraint, caution, and i hold my breath, too. Im going a little at a time. But its already cleared up much of what was certainly sticky resudue from the tape. Thank you.
