Aviacom Posted January 23, 2020 Share Posted January 23, 2020 I’m currently building the Tamiya A6M5 and am stuck on the colours for it! The Scheme I have chosen for it is attached, BOTTOM AIRCRAFT WITH YELLOW BAND, but, as it’s a Nakajima built machine, I cannot work out the Green shade for the upper surfaces, is it IJN Green D1 or IJN Green D2? Same for the Grey undersides - Hairyokushoku Grey Green? I only use AK Real Colours so help with those paint codes would be a great help if possible please? Thanks in advance. Juggernut Posted January 23, 2020 Share Posted January 23, 2020 I would use D1 for the upper surface color and J3 for undersurface color but that's just a personal choice. You might want to read Jim Lansdale's article on zero colore as it explains the colors of the zero very nicely.
