Not happy with my photos...

As has been pointed out, photography setups can easily be had through Amazon and other outlets. Many are not too ridiculously priced, and most offer various combinations of diffuser boxes, reflective umbrellas, boom stands, large, seamless backdrops, light stands (with LED or CF bulbs), and other stuff.

 

As to cameras, my little Nikon PHD (press here, dummy) camera, is almost stupid proof, and gives me lots of options for auto shoots, or personal adjustments. The built in zoom also offers some limited close-up shots, and I've been quite happy with it, all things considered. 

 

When needed, I tend to shoot outdoors, choosing windless, overcast days, and really have had no issues doing that.
