KUROK
Joe, Looks good! May I suggest some scuffing in the wing root area where you put the silver. Camo paint that is worn through never looks convincing when the surrounding area is monotone color. I suggest a hint of paint darkening mottled into that area to suggest dirty shoes have worn it through. Vince
CANicoll
Joe - these things took a beating so its amazing how well you toned down those perfect decals in the earlier pictures. Looks really good! Nicely done and keep it going! Chris
fightnjoe
Many many thanks all. Joe, Looks good! May I suggest some scuffing in the wing root area where you put the silver. I suggest a hint of paint darkening mottled into that area to suggest dirty shoes have worn it through. Vince I did go back and touch up that just a bit. I used both the original color and one darkened a bit. Joe - these things took a beating so its amazing how well you toned down those perfect decals in the earlier pictures. Looks really good! Nicely done and keep it going! Chris The true test is going far enough but not too far. The jury is still out on whether I took it too far. Shaka HI
Very convincing weathering. Is the oil-dot filtering done on the gloss coat or after your flat coat?
fightnjoe
Many thanks. The oil dot was done over a gloss. I did some pin wash over the gloss and some over a flat coat. Joe Shaka HI
fightnjoe
Well folks the time has come to make the decision. I am going to submit this to a magazine. With that in mind this will be the last update until I am told no or it is in print. Now the update... Continuing with the weathering pastels were added to show exhaust staining. I also added some on the exhaust pipes. I added some black pastels to the wing roots to try to tone down the look. Pictures.......... Thank you all for following along. All comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged. Joe
