Tango1
Very nice indeed! I think you have done a great job painting this one. D Bellis
D Bellis
Thanks, Tango1! I have one kit left. I need all the AM I can get. After giving this some careful thought, I'd like to recommend using the Eduard Big Ed Me 262 sets. They're very reasonably priced (A-1a set for $32, and A-2a set for $33). While somewhat 'flat' in appearance, they do provide a representation of the plethora of wiring and piping that would otherwise have to be added & painted one-at-a-time manually (as I had to do on this build). Other than replacing those confounded vinyl tires with the resin wheels from Barracuda, and possibly using your favorite seat belts instead of the kit's PE belts, the rest of the kit is rather well detailed as-is. However, there are inaccurate stubs/tabs molded to the cockpit tub and inside the fuselage sides that can easily be removed if you feel the need (they are somewhat visible though the main wheel well opening). The tub will in fact be solidly held in place by the bulkheads fore and aft of the cockpit without them, so those stubs/tabs are superfluous anyway. LSP_Ray
I missed this one the first time, too. Great looking Me, D! And thanks for the info on the front tire, I hadn't picked up on that either. D Bellis
