Edgar Brooks
Can't say how relevant it is, but the P-26, which I photographed in L.A., 25 years ago, had a light grey interior. Edgar
A340 Pilot
Photos I've seen show silver paint. This was the norm for U.S.A.A.C. planes of the period. Stein

Tnarg
The old Aero Series has some good photos, but the best reference I have seen is the Minigraph #8 by Peter Bowers on the P-26. There are a few books available on Amazon, but don't buy the "new" ones for over $100, buy the cheaper "used" ones at $10 to $15. There are probably a few photos on the internet and those are even easier on the wallet. Basically, the interior was a silver (shiny) with black instruments and controls, sometimes with a crackle finish on the black surfaces. The interior of the plane at Chino (ex-Guatemala Air Force) possibly was painted in grey, but the earlier photos show only natural metal and black interiors, or what we interpret as that from the black and white photos.
