LSP_K2
Bored out of my mind at work a couple of days ago, so I began this. Markings will be an outrageously colorful D.V from Jasta 5. Most parts are prepped for paint, which I hope to commence this weekend, (after finishing my little Dr.I). The kit.
LSP_K2
This is the scheme I've chosen, (from Jadstaffel 5, Albatros publications, Volume 1). If I don't screw it up too bad, I'll also be entering this in our autumn invitational next September. As is typical, "Fair use" terms and conditions are applicable. LSP_K2
I decided to go ahead and play with this a bit today after all. Engine built and ready for paint.

LSP_K2
Fuselage given the first of two wood treatments, the first being the plywood surfaces.
LSP_K2
Now this is more like it! Tested a new (to me anyway), method of accenting ribs, while imparting some subtle weathering effects. All great practice for my 1:32 WNW Albatros.
LSP_Ron
Good god Kevin, your going to go blind working on the little stuff. Come back and join us with the big stuff! Joking Looks really good
LSP_K2
Thanks Ron, I appreciate it; these little kits are great practice for the larger, 1:32 stuff to come. Pit doctored up a bit with paint. Not technically accurate, but it's OK for me.

LSP_K2
Decals. Ooh, isn't this fun? Roden decals dissolved into a zillion pieces, & I almost went all Norman Bates on this thing! Decals were robbed from my Revell AG D.III so I could proceed. Iain
LSP_K2
Decided to get some work done on this little guy today, so fuselage is all (mostly), zipped up. I think I'll superglue lower wings on before I paint though. Iain
