Nice project!

 

Actually I considered building the same scheme before deciding to make an early Soviet one. The LEM kit at least exists but has some big drawbacks. Besides the weird nose dimensions, a quite annoying issue is the fact the belly bumps are not symmetrical (at the level of the main LG bays). This complicates noticeably the possibility to get a correct landing gear and wing tip height stance from the front. Alas, this is one of the main reasons why I put my kit aside. To be fair, I did not find any reasonable approach to solve that for years. I went back to the kit recently and finally considered one possible solution: building the front LG as well as one main LG leg. Then, secure the kit with a jig in the correct stance with the two existing legs touching the ground. And finally, build the other MLG leg in the bay to ensure it correctly touches the ground. I don't think this will solve the MLG lack of symmetry from the front but at least the plane itself would look correct and the issue would be far less obvious.
