I finally got off my dead behind and sprayed the gear box, using an index card mask. My airbrush has just been giving me fits, though I eventually got that straightened out. I still have to deal with some ejector pin marks in a very hard to get at location, as well as paint the pushrods, which normally seemed to be black. Color could be just a tad bit more blue, but looks "good-enough" to my eyes.

I don't have either volume, so I'll probably pass on the 3rd. -
Speaking of vague instructions, the Kinetic 1:24 Thunderbolt that I'm currently working on, is pretty bad in that regard. I've already messed up the engine, despite following the instructions.

Happy B-Day!!!!

Good to see B&B come aboard as sponsors. Thanks, Kev.

My own Gato looks like a condo for spiders;... talk about some serious rigging. As to tossing a project (or projects), yes, I've thrown out any number of them. I have a 1:32 Mirage to Kfir conversion and a MiG-21MF that probably need to be tossed, just haven't been able to bring myself to actually do it.

Yes, Happy B-Day!!!

Yes, some 1:16 armor goodies would be most awesome.

Right, one does have to establish sensible priorities.

Send it to me, that will solve your dilemma. (Always willing to help out a brother, how utterly selfless of me.)

Sad to hear this, Damian. Be well, my friend.

Great news indeed. Glad to have you, Tim.

I seem to have gobs of Thunderbolt references, including this book, which is pretty spiffy.

Welcome aboard, Tim. Glad to have you here as a sponsor. Just out of curiosity, who is we?

As has been pointed out, photography setups can easily be had through Amazon and other outlets. Many are not too ridiculously priced, and most offer various combinations of diffuser boxes, reflective umbrellas, boom stands, large, seamless backdrops, light stands (with LED or CF bulbs), and other stuff. As to cameras, my little Nikon PHD (press here, dummy) camera, is almost stupid proof, and gives me lots of options for auto shoots, or personal adjustments. The built in zoom also offers some limited close-up shots, and I've been quite happy with it, all things considered. When needed, I tend to shoot outdoors, choosing windless, overcast days, and really have had no issues doing that.

Engine assembly, as far as I intend to take it anyway, is more or less finished. After I spray the reduction housing, I’ll proceed with some subtle (I hope) weathering of the remainder, just to add some character.

That's an awesome gesture on your part, and I certainly appreciate it. I'll PM you shortly, but if the opportunity exists for you to grab the wanted kit, and you decide to keep the set, I'd certainly understand that.

Great. Thanks, Andy, it's what I had thought, but wasn't really sure.

I've resumed work on my 1:24 Thunderbolt and was wondering, which Yahu 'pit set (early or late) would be appropriate for the Razorback. I'm guessing early, but really have no idea. Thanks a bunch.

I'd already done some engine work that I'd completely forgotten about. How much I'll enhance this, is an unknown at this point, but probably not much. Sorry about the cheesy photos.
