  1. Some good content there from Revell. I can remember the old Matchbox Spitfire Mk22/24 being one of the first kits I built over 20 years ago. Would like to see a re-pop of the Tornado as a GR4 with Storm Shadow, Brimstone and Alarm weapons options. Mark
  2. I have a related question. What ratio should the paint/thinner be mixed at for airbrushing.
  3. Erwin, the gunholes on the Spitfire and Hurricane were covered with doped fabric - once the guns were fired a hole would be ripped in the fabric. I'm not sure if the doped fabric was re - applied between sorties or not. Mark
  4. Radu, please stop posting pictures of a fully restored WWII Hurricane. You are embarrasing us with the level of detail you have achieved. Brilliant job.
  5. Epinniger, thanks for the clarification. I could have used something like Babelfish to get an answer, but not as detailed as the one you gave. Cheers. Mark
  6. Kanonenvogel = Canon in Wheels? Can one of our German speaking friends confirm that the Hasegwa JU87G Stuka Kanonenvogel is the Stuka variant that has the large caliber gun's built into the wheel skirts.
  7. Trumpeter are apparently making a 1/32 scale injection molded intruder.
  8. Derek, http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/show...hread.php?t=563 This is a rendering of a MkIXc. As you read through it, you can find a few attatchements that are quite handy - a Diagram showing all of the frames for a high back spit.
  9. Chris, scribing looks superb. Well done. Mark
  10. The other thing I changed was the compass and compass housing. The housing was made from Alu can. The compass was made from the unused kit part C8.
  11. A couple of pics of my 1/32 Spitifre MkVa from the Revell MkI/II kit. I made some small enhancements to the oob cockpit. Primer pump - I replaced the molded primer pump with the top section of a pin - the kind you get when you buy a shirt. Control column - I added 2 control wires running down the inside of the control column. Wire was also wrapped around the grip, and a brake lever added from a piece of alu off a soft drinks can. Rudder Pedals - The top was cut off and replaced with some foil to replicate the foot straps. Seat - the Seat is grossly oversized. I cut the back out of the seat and trimmed 4mm off the back before fitting it back together. The seat is now the correct height.
  12. Derek, have you seen this site: www.simhardware.org it's a guy building a 1:1 scale replica Spitfire MkV cockpit. Mark
  13. Derek, I measured the wheel well on the Revell MkI/II incarnation of the Hasegawa Spitfire. The depth was approx 5.5 to 6mm. I took this measurement from the inside of the lower wing section - it is of the outside of the wheel well. Also 1 wheel fits quite niceley into the well. HTH Mark
  14. Bob, thanks for the info - I'll probably do a what if version.
