  1. Thank you, I started out using Vallejo air steel 71.065 paint then oils with a combination of burnt umber, black , burnt sienna and a little blue. They will remain glossy until the oils dry then they will flatten out.
  2. The 2 VHF antennae are left off with a few other parts for shipping, this was built a few years ago on commission shipped to Texas. It's Shapeways 24th scale LM designed by Vincent Meens, no interior in this one. Sorry guys, quad 4 had a MESA hanging off stowed or deployed and that wasn’t determined until after these pictures were taken, also the fuel cask next to ALSEP was left off for shipping .
  3. I can't thank you guys enough for your patience and comments but I've lived up to Captain Yeager's favorite comment, about the pooch though so I added the canopy rails after I realized the canopy will still slide forward with them installed. I also corrected (as much as possible) the inside windshield frame color, something I forgot to do earlier. I promise no more pictures but I added some subtle weathering and since I'am primarily an armor modeler I held back on weathering initially, I corrected a couple of items and hopefully took better pictures. I'am not much of an aircraft modeler , AMPS and MFCA member so this is out of my comfort zone. I used oils and artist acrylics on the latest followed by Tamiya semi gloss clear on the wing surfaces. Again I'am amazed at the work that's presented on these pages, truly an inspiration and I have my next aircraft build on the bench, not armor , figures or spacecraft.
  4. Beautiful !, Chuck you have the skills of a surgeon.
  5. At my age I should have mastered photography before now, no excuses, but I've come to appreciate the skills required to do so. Anyway, I did add a bit more grime here and there, trying a real camera and I appreciate all your comments concerning this work. I've made some mistakes, corrected the decal on the Capt. part of the film on the canopy (after looking at the pictures). Your build was quite the inspiration and helped me along the way and I thank you! The quality of work on this site is truly amazing.
  6. Thanks everyone!, Chuck there are two sets of gun bay panels, I cheated. I also used Thunderbird as an inspiration and reference so your comments are special. After looking at the pictures now I'am not sure I'am finished with weathering but I have time to decide before the new camera arrives.
  7. I'll try one or two more pictures but I doubt quality will be any better so I finally broke down and bought a new camera.
  8. First build in quite sometime, I'll get more pictures posted later. New member here but longtime member of ARC.
