Thanks Thierry----I'll give it try. Like I said, they look great. I don't like PE and the HGW ones look great but are a bit tricky to assemble. I kinda stocked up on the Finemolds, so I'll give it another try

Picked up a few sets (RAF, US, Luftwaffe) in 1/32 at Plaza Japan. They look great, but I'm having issues with the lap belt----they seem far too stiff to fold over the edge of the seat bucket. I tried hot water soak, but no luck---it finally snapped in half!

I'm surprised also. I have both kits and they are VERY nice.

Do you primer after burnishing?

Not having good luck with these PE and film combos. Seems very prone to scratching (especially bezels) and revealing the brass underneath. Primer (tamiya) doesn't seem to help much.

I wish Revell would do another run of this kit. The ebay offers are pretty pricy.....

My casting attempt was a flop. May take another run at it.. Do the originals need to "flex" at all when installing?

really? I've seen a few photos without them. Must have been pre-war I guess. I wonder why they weren't included ? I guess I could scratch a few rolls and make resin copies

I haven't see anything but the art. Futons are shown in the Kate combo, but are incorrect for the PH version. The Zero combo shows what appears to be a MIdway scene (with futons) which would be correct-----so maybe....? Strangely enough, the 1/72 version appears to come with futons

The brown truck showed up. Yes, lots of parts. Impressive flag decal sets, Kate looks great. One thing that caught my eye------a texture on the deck planking---looks pretty good. I'm going to skip the AM wood deck.

They have the bridge/deck alone for $107, so maybe $70-80?

I love Kates, wasn't crazy about 1/35, but this bridge set is what sold me. Diorama time! And the Kate won't be parked next to my 1/32s, but a "stand-alone" where it won't matter! Now if they could come out with a deck extension..........
