Hagar got a reaction from Wurzacher in My attempt at a FAA Corsair
I then ordered some RB seat belts and so started on the engine. I drilled out the plugs and the ignition distributor with a 10 thou drill. Then wired it up with fine lead fishing line. I painted the engine in Tamiya and then did a wash.
I used an Archer Generic placard for the info plate on the engine and Dainbramage was very kind and sent me a Fundekal P&W logo that looks better than the Tamiya decal.
I painted the oil tank Vallejo Chromate yellow and put in a line and painted it Tamiya Brass.

Hagar got a reaction from Alburymodeler in My attempt at a FAA Corsair
The engine exhaust that might be seen are painted metal and then I have had great luck using a wash of Vallejo Track colour on them to gibve the oxidized look. Just need some blueing and soot and I think they should look good.
And where it is right now.

Hagar got a reaction from Uilleann in Modeling challenge (& reference photos sought - F-117 Nighthawk)..
I must have missed the glass part. Could you not add some gold paint (acrylic) to future and then dip the glass? That way you get the nice effect of future protecting your clear pieces and it will be tinted? Just a thought.

Not sure about the intakes except maybe using strips of metal or plastic and notching them, then interlocking the pieces. For the Flir etc I used a Nestea bag (they are pyrimid shaped).
Hope that is of some help.

Well except for a couple of tiny things left to do this one is done. Feels good to complete something.
Comments and critiques welcome.

Hagar got a reaction from Saber in B-25 -- Worth the wait
I did some basic frame work putting in some Longerons and stringers. Looks better when viewing through the waist windows.
