whistlingdeath got a reaction from Barry in 1/32 British Phantom FG.1/FGR.2 conversion for the Tamiya F-4J?
We can all be perfect.
I would absolutely buy at least one. Decals really is a biggie of course, but I suspect if you build it the decals will come.

whistlingdeath got a reaction from DoogsATX in Need to see a new 1:32nd F6F Hellcat and SB2C Helldiver
If Tamiya's next release in 1/32 is a 190 or 109 I will eat the plastic in the kit and post pics right here. Won't happen. The FW would be ridiculous with ZM about to drop a whole line and the 109 just isn't complex enough to do what they've done with the other stuff.
Their 1/32 releases, in my mind, have been foreshadowed in their 1/48 kits and if I were betting money I'd put an equally large chunk of change on a Mosquito, 262, and P-47 equally. I believe the Thunderbolt is the most logical of the three, but if it's a 262 you heard it here first. I don't know why of all the things people speculate about it's never mentioned, but logic would say it's going to be German, and if you look down at 1/48 then a 262 makes total sense.

whistlingdeath reacted to gunner in Trumpeter Dauntless and Avenger
Having built the SBD-1/2, SBD-5, the TBM-3 and the TBF. I can unequivocally say these are some of the best 1/32 scale aircraft kits
available. Fit, accuracy and detail is outstanding. I am about halfway through the 1/18th scale SBD 3/4 and it is a great kit
also.
You will have a great time building any one of these. Have fun.

whistlingdeath got a reaction from Harold in Ready to go Large Scale
Hello all. My name is Jerry and I'm new here. I've been building mostly 1/48 for a long time with the occasional armor thrown in sometimes but I've decided to start getting more into the bigger birds. I just feel like they have more impact on the shelf after having seen a few built up at shows recently.
Given my love for the Corsair I figured I'd start there with Tamiya's birdcage kit. I'm excited about tackling something with a little more complexity to the build process. I'd ask about the quality of the kit, but I think it's pretty well known to be a good kit. I'm not sure if I'll be doing a build thread like the ones I see. I don't know if I'm ready for that. We shall se.
