Hello Chaps! Here is my update for today. I repaired the bleeds from my fuselage roundrels and got the squadron codes on the port side with that famous serial no. This is time consuming work, but I think it's worth it for my favourite Spitfire.

Frank, Peter, many thanks! It's going OK so far. I've found some bleed under the port side fuselage roundrel, so I am considering how best to fix it. More pics later!

Hello! Today I got the Merlin engine finished and began painting the markings on MH434. I was more than a tad nervous about this endevour, but with a few Spitfire beers and some luck I managed not to mess up too much. Some overspray needs fixing, but nothing too dramatic! I used my own tamiya mixed paints for the colours over Ad Astra masks, I found them a little tricky to work with at first, but soon got the hang of it. Here are pics of today's progress.... The masking begins...... A while later.......... I'd call this not bad for a first go, so I decided to celebrate..........................Cheers!

Frank, the airframe looks fantastic! Beautiful AB work, those faded panels look quite authenic!

Looking good Frank! The paint on the fuselage and tail give a well used look to the aircraft. The fuel tanks have a nice weathered appearence too. The 184 short pod is nicely done-good work!
